Status LEDs: The front operator
pendant on the Minilase™ machine
includes system status LEDs. When the
system is enabled, you will note that the
“Laser Ready” light is enabled as shown
in the phot on the right.
Laser Busy will show orange when the
system is marking.
Cycle Complete will show blue for 3
seconds after the marking cycle is
complete.
System Alert will show red when the
system is powered up but the laser is
disabled. This condition could also be
present if the system is in a fault
condition.
Shutter: For the marking to take place,
the shutter button must be enabled.
With the system powered on and the
laser enabled, the LED bar above the
enabled button will show orange. To
enable
the shutter, press the “Enable”
button. If the door is closed, the LED bar
will show red to indicate the shutter is
open. If the door is open, the shutter LED
bar will continue to show orange until
the door is closed. This is related to the
safety interlock system. For safety, the
shutter will only fully enable when the
door is closed and the shutter button
enabled.
Cycle: To begin the marking cycle, press
the green start button. If the door is
closed and the shutter enabled, the
marking will process. If the shutter is
disabled or the door is open, the marking
will process but will only simulate the
pattern using the red pointing beam. To
stop the marking process, press the red
stop button.
