Appendix IV: PCI-X/PCI Bus

Thunder i7522 S5362

S5362 board has two onboard Intel 6700PXH 64-bit PCI Hubs. Each of Intel 6700PXH chip
supports two independent 133 MHz PCI -X channels. T hose two Intel 6700PXH chips are
marked as “PXH- 1” and “PXH- 2” on Fig. AP4- 1.

Intel 6700PXH chip (PXH-1):

PCI -X Channel A Bus: Connected to TARO

SO- DIMM (J42), PCIX1- P1 expansion

slot (J41) and ZCR socket (reserved and unpopulated).

PCI -X Channel B Bus: Connected to PCIX1 - S1 expansion slot

Secondary Intel 6700PXH chip (PXH -2):

PCI -X Channel A Bus: Connected to PCIX2 - P1 expansion slot

PCI -X Channel B Bus: Connected to PCIX2 - S1 expansion slot

Expansion Slot Frequency:

PCIX1-S1 (J16): PCI -X up to 133/100/66 MHz

PCIX1-P1 (J41): PCI -X up to 66 MHz

PCI -E (J8): PCI -Express x8 connector with PCI - Express x4 signals

PCIX2-S1 (J33): PCI -X up to 133/100/66 MHz

PCIX2-P1 (J32): PCI -X up to 133/100/66 MHz

PCI5 (J7): 32- bit PCI at 33 MHz
