Replacing the Power Supply

To replace the system’s power supply, follow these procedures.

Remove the cabinet cover (see the previous section in this chapter).

Remove the primary hard disk drive (see chapter 2 on Installing a Hard Disk Drive).

Detach the 4-pin 12 V plug from the ATX 12 V connector on the motherboard as
well as the 20-pin connector from the ATX connector on the motherboard. Then,
remove the two screws.

Remove the two screws securing the power supply to the system’s rear panel then
remove the power supply.

Reverse the above sequence when installing the new power supply.
