Chapter 4 | Configure Control of Devices

Add and Manage Devices

ESPN

THE

ULTIMATE

REMOTE

User’s Guide

Scroll to the type of device you want to
add and press in the joystick (SEL).

Read the instructions and press the OK
soft key to continue.

Enter the first few letters of the brand
using the alphanumeric keypad.

Scroll to the brand for this device and
press SEL.

Read the instructions for locating the
command set and press the OK soft key
to continue.

10.

Use the Auto Search method to locate the
device command set. (Skip and go to
step 11 if you want to use Manual Search.)

a. Press the Options soft key, scroll to

Start search, and press the Select
soft key.

b. Point the smart remote at the device.

The remote will send the power
command to the device.

c. Press the Stop soft key if the remote is able to activate

the device.

d. Press the remote keys to test other commands (volume,

channel, digits, etc.)

e. Press SEL to save.

Press the Left and Right soft keys to try other commands
sets or press the Options soft key, scroll to Search and
press the Select soft key to continue searching for the
correct command set.

g. Press Options, scroll to Save, and press the Select soft key.

h. Go to step 12.
