Chapter 4 | Configure Control of Devices
Add and Manage Devices
During new device set up, you will be prompted to locate the command set
that operates the new device. There are two ways to do this:
•
Auto Search
The smart remote will test each power command of the
command set. Try this method first. Then, if the smart remote
is not able to find the command set, use the Manual Search
method.
•
Manual Search
Manually test each command set by pointing the smart
remote at the device and pressing the appropriate keys.
1.
Open Tools.
2.
Scroll to Devices and press in the joystick
(SEL) to view the Devices Setup screen.
Alternate:
Press the
DEVICE
key. Next, press the
Options soft key, scroll to Add/Manage
Devices, and press the Select soft key.
3.
Press the Options soft key, scroll to New
device, and press the Select soft key.
4.
Read the instructions and press the OK
soft key.
