Installing the driver in Windows 98 / Windows ME /
Windows 2000 / Windows XP
Note:
The latest driver can be downloaded from www.trust.com/13791.
Check whether a new driver is available and use this for the
installation.
Note:
Make sure all other programs are closed during the installation.
Note:
In the example, ‘D:\’ is used to indicate the CD-ROM drive. This may
be different for your computer.
Note:
During installation in Windows 2000 and Windows XP, you may
receive a message saying that the driver has not been signed. This
does not cause a problem for the functionality.
1.
Insert the CD-ROM into your computer’s CD-ROM drive. The installation
program will start automatically. If it does not start automatically, carry out the
following:
a.
Select 'Run' from the Windows Start menu.
b.
Type [D:\SETUP.EXE] and click on 'OK' to start the Trust Software
Installer.
2.
The Trust Software Installer will appear (see figure 6).
3.
Select the language (in the top right-hand corner) you wish to use for the
installation.
4. Select
‘Install
driver’.
5. Follow
the
on-screen
instructions.
6. Restart
the
computer.
8.2
Configuring the camera to display photographs
(PC/Mac)
Note:
By default, the camera is configured to display photographs
(Mass Storage Device).
1.
Set the camera to the ‘Set-up’ mode (symbol
) using the rotary button (1,
figure 3).
2.
Turn the camera on.
3.
Press the control button to the left (8, figure 2) until 'USB’ is displayed.
4.
Press the control button up or down to select ‘DSC’.
5.
Press ‘OK’ to confirm the selection.
8.3
Connecting the camera to a USB port on a computer
(PC/MAC)
Note:
Make sure the driver has been installed before connecting the camera.
1.
Set the camera to the ‘Playback’ mode. Turn the camera on.
2.
Connect one end of the USB cable to the camera (2, figure 4).
3.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to the computer (see figure 7).
New hardware will be detected and the driver will be automatically installed.
The LCD screen will turn off and the red indicator will be lit.
