7. Battery Status Monitoring
The built-in voltage meter
(Fig. 1 / Item 5)
keeps you
constantly informed as to the charge status of the battery.
Pressing the red test button
(Fig. 1 / Item 4)
causes the
voltage meter to light up. The displays mean:
• Green
The battery is 50 - 100 % full.
• Yellow
The battery is 0 - 50 % full and should be
recharged
• Red
The battery is completely run down. This
condition can occur after giving a jump start,
for example. The battery must be recharged.
Continuing to operate the unit in this condition
may damage the battery.
The storage battery discharges automatically when the
power station is not used for a long time. It should be
recharged every 3-5 months, regardless of the amount
usage, in order to preserve the operating life of the battery.
8. 12 Volt Compressor
Inflating Tyres
Important!
Use a tyre pressure gauge to measure the actual tyre
pressure. Observe the information in the owner’s
manual of the vehicle concerning the inflation of tyres.
1. Remove the valve cap from the valve.
2. Push the compressor’s connector piece all the way
down over the valve
(Fig. 2 / Item 1).
3. Secure the connector piece by flipping back the locking
lever
(Fig 2 / Item 2).
Inflating Air Mattresses, Etc.
Important!
The material composition of air mattresses, rubber rafts,
etc, makes it impossible to give an exact air-pressure
read-out. Therefore, do not over-inflate these objects,
as they may burst!
• Select the appropriate adaptor and insert it into the
connector piece on the air hose. The following adaptors
are included:
Adapter 1
(Fig. 3 / Item 1):
for air mattresses
Adapter 2
(Fig. 3 / Item 2):
for sports balls
Adapter 3
(Fig. 3 / Item 3):
for beach balls
• Secure the connector piece by flipping back the locking
lever
(Fig. 2 / Item 2).
Starting Up the Compressor
Important!
Please read the points listed under “1. Important
Information for your Safety” prior to working with the
compressor. Allow the compressor to cool for at least
10 minutes after it has run for 10 minutes.
• Check the pressure gauge before switching on the
compressor
(Fig. 4 / Item 2)
.
• Flip the On-Off switch
(Fig. 4 / Item 1)
to I to turn the
unit on.
• Flip the On-Off switch
(Fig. 4 / Item 1)
to O to turn the
unit off.
9. Lighting
The lamp
(Fig. 1 / Item 6)
can be turned on and off by using
the switch
(Fig. 1 / Item 7).
Replacing the Bulb
The lamp must be turned off to replace the bulb. Please
proceed as follows:
1. Squeeze the lamp cover
(Fig. 1 / Item 6)
together
slightly from the sides, then pull the cover off.
2. Twist the bulb out of the socket in a counter-clockwise
direction.
3. Replace the bulb only with one of the same type
(12V / 0.3A).
4. Screw the bulb into the socket in a clockwise direction.
5. Snap the light cover
(Fig. 1 / Item 6)
back on.
10. Cleaning and Maintenance
• Be sure to switch off the power station and to
disconnect all devices before performing cleaning or
maintenance work.
• Usually, a soft, dry towel is sufficient to clean the
surface. If necessary, dirt can be removed with a
slightly dampened rag. Never use aggressive solvents
to clean the unit.
11. Repair
In case of problems, let only an authorised professional or
a customer service workshop examine and repair this unit.
12. Disposal
The power station contains a maintenance-free lead-acid
battery. To dispose of the unit in an environmentally
friendly fashion, take the entire unit to a hazardous
materials collection centre.
Save this manual carefully for later use!
