S - Setup

The following menu is displayed when "

S

" is entered for Setup.

Trident Micro Systems

Setup Menu:

S = Sign On Message
P = Change Passwords
I = Initialization
=>

S - Sign On Message

This option displays the Sign On Message and allows the user to change the content of the message.
The default message reads, "Trident Micro Systems".

P - Change Password

This menu allows you to change either the Control Password or Monitor Password to any ASCII
string up to 8 characters in length. You will be prompted to enter the password twice, EXACTLY
the same. The password is never retransmitted. Make sure you RECORD the new password for
future reference on page 31. If the passwords get lost, the battery can be removed and then replaced
after 5 minutes. The passwords will then be restored to "CONTROL" and "MONITOR".

Warning! All programming and logged data will be lost if the battery is removed.

The memory can be initialized by pressing "

I

" for the

Initialization

command. Doing this will

CLEAR ALL memory and ALL stored data will be cleared. The passwords will default to
"CONTROL" and "MONITOR" and a hardware reset will be performed. When prompted "Are you
sure?", if you enter "Y" for yes, you will be prompted to designate all ID codes valid or invalid.
Enter a "+" to initialize with all ID codes valid or enter a "-" to initialize with all ID codes invalid.
The validation feature itself is always enabled.
