To set the safety valve in place.
To raise the safety valve.
NOTE:
For proper operation of the cooker, the working valve does not have to be
moving, but the pressure must be released from the cooker evenly.
3 SAFETY VALVE:
will start operating and relieving pressure
when the Pressure Regulator is blocked. In this case, the safety
valve pin moves upward, decreasing internal pressure. If this
happens, turn off the heat, make sure there is no longer any
internal pressure and open the pot, as indicated on page
22 “To open the pot”. Remove the filter and the pressure
regulator, unblock the orifices of the filter and steam outlet pin
as per figure 9 and put it in place again. Clean the safety valve,
press the spring with your finger (inner part of the lid), and unclog the valve with the aid
of a water jet, removing all food residues.
2 SAFETY LOCK BUTTON:
If the cooker is not properly
closed, this button will prevent the build-up of internal
pressure. However, when the cooker is properly closed,
this valve will prevent the lid from being opened when there
is internal pressure. Open the lid only if you are sure that
there is an absence of internal pressure. To open, turn the
lid counterclockwise until the arrow on the lid is aligned with
the arrow on the handle.

4 LATERAL SAFETY SYSTEM:
will be engaged when both
the Pressure Regulator and the Safety Valve are obstructed
simultaneously, generated excessive internal pressure. If this
happens, the pressure will be released through the side vent
on the lid, which will have a partially displaced Seal Ring. Turn
off the heat and after the pressure is fully released, open the
lid and clean the Pressure Regulator and Safety Valve. When
the lateral safety system is triggered, this indicates that the
seal ring needs to be replaced. For replacement, contact the
nearest Tramontina unit at one of the addresses found on the website
(www.tramontina.com.br).
* If the Safety Valve or the Lateral Safety System starts operating, liquid and food will escape
from inside the pot.
