The Engine Stop Switch must be used until the adult confirms the child is able to
operate the TrailRover™ safely, with sufficient skills, and adheres to all warnings
and cautions.
When the Engine Stop Switch is not in use, remove the lanyard to prevent it
from getting caught and creating the potential for harm. The lanyard should be
kept in a safe place for future use.
While removing the Engine Stop Switch, put your fingers through the loop to
prevent it slipping from your hand prematurely.
When you pull out the Stop Engine Switch, the engine will die but your
TrailRover™ will continue to move because of inertial force. Remember, brake
pressure must be gently applied to stop your TrailRover™ completely.
Young and Inexperienced Riders
To be certain young or inexperienced riders are able to safely operate your
TrailRover™, you must give them adequate instruction and supervision in an area
that is free of obstacles that may cause injury. Give careful instruction before
allowing them to ride your TrailRover™ and adequate supervision each time they
ride. They should practice the basic skills required for safe operation and have
a complete understanding of the cautions and warnings to prevent risk of harm
and serious injury.
Follow this step by step guide to make sure your child has fun while being safe.
Proper clothing and protective gear
Make sure your child always wears an approve motorcycle helmet that fits
properly with protective eye wear or a face shield. Never allow your child to wear
loose fitting clothes while riding your TrailRover™. Your child should always
wear a long sleeved shirt and long pants to protect against injuries and loss of
body heat. Your child should also wear gloves that fit properly.
Familiarity with your TrailRover™
Your should become completely familiar with the name and function of all of the
controls. While sitting on your TrailRover™ with the engine “OFF”, they should
be able to name and demonstrate the operation of the controls. Make them
