Cleaning
Frequently cleaning your TrailRover™ thoroughly will enhance its appearance,
performance, operation and extends its life.
Before cleaning your TrailRover™
Make sure it is turned “OFF”
Block the end of the exhaust pipe to prevent water getting in. Use a plastic bag
attached with a rubber band.
Make sure the spark plugs and filter caps are properly installed.
If the engine is excessively greasy, apply de-greaser with a paint brush and follow
the instructions for use on the package.
Do not apply de-greaser to the wheel axles.
Rinse dirt and de-greaser from your TrailRover™ with a garden hose. Do not use
more water pressure than is necessary. Do not use a pressure washer.
Once the dirt has been hosed off, wash all surfaces with warm water and mild
detergent. Use a toothbrush in hard to reach areas.
Rinse immediately with clean water and dry all surfaces with a soft clean cotton
towel of chamois.
Clean seat with a non-alcohol based vinyl upholstery cleaner to keep it pliable
and glossy.
Automotive wax may be applied to all pained and chrome plated surfaces. Avoid
combination cleaner/waxes which may contain abrasive materials that may
damage paint and protective finishes.
When you have finished cleaning your TrailRover™, start the engine and allow it
to idle for 3 to 5 minutes.
Storage
Short Term Storage
Always store your TrailRover™ in a cool, dry place and cover is with a porous
cover to protect it from accumulating dust and dirt.
Long-Term Storage
Make any necessary repairs before storing your TrailRover™.
Before storing your TrailRover™ for several months, clean it thoroughly.
• Drain the carburetor float chamber by loosening the drain bolt. This will
prevent fuel deposits from building up. Pour the drained fuel into the fuel
tank.
• Fill the fuel tank and add fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel from deteriorating.
