Deleting a map from the mobile phone will not increase the number of tile licences on the map server. Generally, a
map tile is deleted only if a downloaded map is replaced by a newer version of a map of same area.
The purchased map licence will function for at least 12 months from the purchase day, if the map licence is not
used before that.
Changing the mobile phone
You can move your Tracker Hunter to a new phone:
First, unregister Tracker Hunter in Main Menu > Licences > Unregister . Then install the software to another
phone as told in this manual NOTE! You can not move uploaded map tiles to another phone.
If you want to move all files to a new phone:
1. Using a computer, copy the hunter-
file from your phone‟s memory card to the memory card of the new phone
2. You can also move the old memory card to the new phone, but in this case you must first remove the Tracker
Hunter from the old phone while the memory card is in its place. See the phone manual for instructions on
removing software.
The Tracker Live service
The Tracker Live service is licence-based, as are the software and maps. The licence for this Tracker Hunter
software is valid until the end of this year. From the beginning of next year, there will be a charge for the Tracker
Live service.
In the Tracker Live service, information is transmitted via GPRS data packages instead of SMS messages. The
GPRS service may be a lot cheaper in tracking hunting dogs than using SMS messages. PLEASE NOTE:
Depending on the mode of operation and connections, we recommend that you obtain a GPRS data package from
your operator.
In the Tracker Live service, location information is transmitted directly to a server, from which it is automatically
sent to you and your friend. Each recipient and sender pay the charge for transmitted data. For instance, when the
collar sends location data to the server, the collar owner is charged. When the location information is sent from the
server to a friend with a viewer or owner ID, the friend will be charged.
When you have started the service, it will remain in use until you quit it. If you have not quit the service when
closing Hunter, the service will be automatically in use when you start Hunter the next time.
