9. Conversion ST 12/4 to ST 12/5

Swing gate operator control unit ST 12/5

• The conversion of the old control unit ST 12/4 to the new model ST 12/5 is possible by simply replacing the control board

while maintaining the existing control box and transformer.

Warning

•

Before taking off the control cover,

the main switch must be turned off !

•

If an emergency battery is connected, also discon-

nect this battery!

•

The inside of the control unit is under tension when

power supplied.

•

In order to avoid electrical strokes, the safety regula-

tions have to be respected.

•

The device may only be connected by qualified per

sonnel (specialised staff).

•

The product is not suitable for installation in explosion-

hazardous/explosive areas.

•

An all-pole disconnecting main switch with a contact

opening gap of min. 3 mm has to be foreseen. The

gate facility has to be secured according to the valid

safety regulations!

•

IMPORTANT: The control lines (sensor, buttons, radio,

photocells, etc.) have to be laid separately from the

230V lines (supply line, motors, signal lamp)

• After separation of the system (control) from the power supply, open the case and pull off both control terminals

(K1, K2)

which lead from the transformer to control board (

K1: red line transformer, K2: yellow transformer wire

)

• Loosen the screws with which the control board is connected to the chassis and remove the board.
• By loosening the screw terminal remove the two yellow wires

(primary line)

from the terminal block

(K2).
