Reposition the system board onto the system support block. Then lift the FDD and remove
it from the keyboard base.

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the catch hook on the keyboard base as you remove
the FDD.

Remove the four M2x4 screws securing the bottom half of the system board (Figure 4-27).
Gently lift the system board out of the computer and disconnect the system board from the
power supply board at PJ9 on the system board. Rest the system board on the system board
support block.

4.8.2

Installing the System Board, LED Board, and Floppy Disk Drive

1.

Slide the system board into position making sure there are no cables or screws underneath
it.

2.

Make sure the power supply board is positioned on its guide pin on the right side of the
power supply board.

3.

Connect the system board to the power supply board at PJ9 on the system board.

4.

Secure the system board in place with the four M2x4 screws (Figure 4-27).

5.

If necessary, pull the protective covering from the new LED board. Then place the LED board
into position by aligning it with the guide pins and lightly press the board into position.

CAUTION: Thin file transistors (TFTs) are located throughout the LED board. Only
handle the board by its edges to avoid damaging the TFTs.
