4.1

General

This chapter explains how to disassemble and assemble the T3300SL to replace the Field Replace-
able Units (FRUs). It is not always necessary to remove all the FRUs in order to replace one. The
chart below is a guide to which FRUs need to be removed so you can replace the one that is causing
the T3300SL to operate abnormally. Always start by removing the AC adapter and battery pack,
then follow the disassembly lines on the chart to the FRU you are removing.

CAUTION: The T3300SL is assembled with zinc-coated screws and nickel chrome-plated
screws. The zinc-coated screws are yellow and are used only inside the T3300SL. The
nickel chrome-plated screws are used throughout the computer; however, only M2x5 nickel
chrome-plated screws are used internally in the T3300SL.
