Installation of AI Room Remote Controllers

Precautions

Low voltage circuitry is used for remote control communication, and as such, the remote control
cable is subject to the low power circuit provision of internal wiring regulations and therefore it
cannot be brought into direct contact with high voltage AC power lines, or housed in the same
conduit tube as a power line.

Heat Pump Models AI Room Remote Controller

Only AI Heat Pump models may be used with this remote controller (RBC-SR2-PE);

This remote controller cannot be used with the 7 Day Timer (RBC-WT1-PE);

The use of two remotes on one system is not possible;

The maximum extended length of the remote control cable which can be used is 500 metres.
Install the remote controller where it can be easily operated;

The decorative cover can be removed by prising the section indicated by the arrow, using an
ordinary flat screwdriver;

The in-built memory backup capacitor will prevent memory loss during a power failure;

For details of setting the remote controller please refer to the operating instructions in the Remote
Controller Owner’s Manual.

Attach the remote controller to the wall
using two suitable mounting screws
(obtained locally).

Connect the 3-core cable (obtained
locally) to the ABC terminals.

l

Make a U-shaped cut-out in the centre
of the top edge of the decorative cover
and pass the 3-core PVC cable
through the cut-out.

Flush Wall Mounting

l

Feed the 3-core PVC cable (obtained
locally) through the back of the remote
controller and then connect to the ABC
terminals.

l

Attach the remote controller to the wall
using two suitable mounting screws
(obtained locally).
