4 Replacement Procedures

PORTEGE M300 Maintenance Manual (960-504)

Installing the cooling fin

To install the cooling fin, follow the steps below and refer to figures 4-31 and 4-32.

If there is already silicon grease on the CPU and cooling fin, clean them with a cloth.

Using a special applicator, apply

silicon grease

so that the CPU chip on the CPU is

completely covered.

Install the

cooling fin

and secure it with the following

screws

M2.0x3.0S

S-THIN FLAT BIND screw

NOTE:

When installing the cooling fin, be sure to install the screws in the order of the

number marked on the cooling fin (1? 2).
