Is the voltage at pin 68
of IC4501 5V ?

Yes
Check POWER BLOCK.
L4502 is broken or shorted.
Check peripheral circuit.
No
Is there AUDIO signal at
pins 76, 78 and 80 of
IC4501 ?
Yes
Check the circuit between audio
out of Tuner and IC4501.
Is there AUDIO signal
at pin 9 of IC4501 ?
No
Yes
Check IC4501 and the peripheral
circuit.
Replace IC4501.
Check the lead wire and connector
to A/C HEAD.
No
Yes
CASSETTE CAN BE LOADED
BUT UNIT HAS NO FUNCTIONS
Does mode indicator
appear in Display ?
Check LOADING MOTOR, MODE
SWITCH and the peripheral parts.
Does VCR operate with
the remote control?
Check IC1001.
Replace SW101.
