C Fixing the motor to the kayak’s steering system in addition to a rudder:
We recommend this attachment option if you want flexibility when the motor is
running but also when it is turned off and the rudder is used when paddling.
• Test whether the steering works in the desired position and whether the
kayak’s motor and rudder can be tipped out of the water before fixing
the mounting ball to the kayak.
4. Mark the four necessary screw positions on the
mounting ball and drill the corresponding holes
(Ø 12 mm / 0.47 inches) into the kayak.
5. Insert the four screw anchors supplied with screws into the drill holes until they reach
the end stop. Then unscrew the screws from the screw anchors.
6. Remove the mounting ball from the boom. Due to slight curvature of the kayak surface
use the rubber gasket between the kayak and the mounting ball. Insert the four screws
through the fixing points on the mounting ball and tighten the screws with the Allen
key supplied. Firmly tighten the screws.
