Towing the boat
CAUTION!
Damage to drive components from ground contact when towing.
Material damage can result.
■
While in motion, ensure that there is no danger of the propeller or fin mak-
ing ground contact.
CAUTION!
Damage to the Cruise system from using the tilt lock when towing.
Material damage can result.
■
Do not use the tilt lock on the transom bracket to secure the tilted motor
while towing.
■
When towing, use a suitable support, such as squared timbers or similar to
secure the shaft.
When towing the boat while the outboard is mounted, the motor should be tipped
completely downwards, as long as this is possible without the risk of ground contact
(take the effect of unlevel ground into account).
If the motor is tipped downwards and the risk of ground contact during the journey
cannot be excluded, then the motor must be tipped upwards for transport.
Comply with the applicable national regulations for towing boats.
