Contaminated fluid looks milky or black when
compared to clean fluid.
Draining the Hydraulic Fluid
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, lower the
cutting units, shut off the engine, engage the
parking brake, and remove the key.
2.
Remove the storage compartment; refer to
Removing the Storage Compartment (page 38)
.
3.
Align a drain pan under the hydraulic tank,
remove the tank drain plug, and fully drain the
hydraulic fluid (

Install the drain plug with a new seal.
Cleaning the Strainers
1.
Remove the oil tank suction flange to gain
access to the suction strainer (

Use only hydraulic fluids
specified; other hydraulic fluids could
damage the system.
2.
Run the machine and operate all hydraulic
systems until the hydraulic fluid is warm.
3.
Check the fluid level and top up as necessary to
the upper mark on the sight-level gauge.
