Add the correct amount of fuel stabilizer/conditioner to the
fuel, and follow the directions of the manufacturer.

Note:

Fuel stabilizer/conditioner is most effective when

mixed with fresh fuel. To minimize the chance of varnish
deposits in the fuel system, use fuel stabilizer at all times.

Filling the Fuel Tank

Park the machine on a level surface, stop the engine,
and allow the engine to cool.

Clean around the fuel cap and remove it (Figure 30).

Add unleaded gasoline to the fuel tank, until the level
is at the bottom of the maximum fuel level, as shown
in Figure 31.

Important:

This space in the tank allows gasoline

to expand. Do not fill the fuel tank completely full.

Install the fuel cap securely (Figure 30).

Wipe up any gasoline that may have spilled.
