Installing the equalizing cables: refer to Fig 3 (pg. 23) for general cable arrangement
for the HD2P-9000AF. Set carriages on the first safety latch engagement. Be sure each
carriage is at the same height by measuring from the top of the base to the bottom
of the carriage (double check the latches before working under the carriages). This
dimension should be within 1/4”. Run the first cable as shown on Fig 3. Tighten nut on
one cable stud so that the end of stud passes the nylon on the nut Pull the other end
of cable and run nut onto it. Tighten both nuts. Repeat this step for second cable.
10) Make sure the pin on the bottom of the cylinder is seated into the hole in the center
of the base plate Pull the pre-attached leaf chain in both sides up and over the chain
pulley on top of the cylinders. Refer to Fig. 4 pg. 24.
11)
Connect the hydraulic hoses, as shown on Fig 4.
12)
Mount the floor plate as shown in Fig 4.
13)
Mount the power unit on lift as shown in Fig 4.
14)
Install the swing arms on the carriages using the included 1 1/2” diameter pins. Also
install the arm restraint pins at this time. Check for proper engagement of the arm
lock- the rack on the lock should fully engage the gear on the arm. Grease these pins to
prevent excessive wear.
15)
Remove the fill cap from the power unit and fill the oil reservoir. Fill the oil tank with a
premium quality ISO-32, or AW-46 Hydraulic Oil.
16)
Adjust the carriage cable tension. This can be done by tightening the nuts on each end
of each of cables. Tighten the nut on the opposite side that you wish to raise. Adjust
each cable to approximately 1/2” side-to-side play. When the cables are adjusted
properly, the locks will click simultaneously as the lift is raised.
17)
Make the Electrical hookup to the power unit.(220V Single Phase). It is recommended
that a 220 Volt, 30 Amp twist lock plug be installed in the power line just ahead of the
power unit. Size wire for 30-amp circuit.
18) Grease the (4) inside corners of both columns.
