WARNING
To prevent possible equipment damage, property damage, personal injury or death, the
following bullet points must be observed when installing the unit.
Installation Instructions
First, use the enclosed set of expansion rings, chains, and spring hooks to hang the Ares Garden
Heater from structural members of the ceiling or greenhouse unistrut system rated for the load, or
on a solid support; make sure the unit is firmly fixed to prevent falling and that it is level. Heater
should be kept at least one meter away from surrounding objects or walls; this includes from the top,
right and left sides, and from the front and back of the heater. This spacing will provide adequate
clearance for the heater’s air intake and exhaust, which must be kept clear with nothing blocking
airflow, and provide adequate clearances for accessibility for servicing and proper operation. Keep
the environment well ventilated.
The heater shall not be installed on a combustible solid support other than wood, such as carpeting
or tile and shall be installed to maintain a minimum of 1 inch from the top surface of the carpeting
or tile. The heater may be installed on a metal or wood panel extending the full width and depth of
the heater.
The installation must conform with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, to the National
Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54. This heater shall not be installed in a room or space
unless the required volume of indoor combustion air is provided by the method described in the
National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54, the International Fuel Gas Code, or applicable
local codes.
This heater shall not be installed in a bedroom or bathroom.
Do not place flammable or explosive materials such as gasoline near the heater.
