DHCP
Settings
Activate IP basic address, DHCP
If desired, the telephone system can serve as a DHCP server for your network. This
means that the computers in your network no longer require a fixed IP address but
are assigned one each time the telephone system starts. The telephone system can
assign IP addresses to the networked PCs as per the “Number of clients” entry (e.g.
20).
To use DHCP, click on the “DHCP server on” box. The computers that have been as-
signed an IP address by the telephone system are shown in the table below.
Enter the first IP address to be assigned in the “DHCP – IP basic address” field. Click
on “Save” once you have made all the settings.
Note:
If there are terminals in your network with fixed IP addresses, this IP
address may not be part of the DHCP server's IP address range.
List of DHCP clients
This indicates which computers have already been assigned with an IP address. In
addition, network name and MAC address of the connected computers are also indi-
cated.
