Configuration Menu: Extensions

Handset 

Your DECT-Z 500 base station supports the connection of up to 8 handsets. Each 
handset can be assigned to one port of your DECT-Z 500 base station using the “as-
signment of ports” table. To configure the individual handsets, determine the corre-
sponding ports, one after another. The data is saved by selecting a new port or by 
pressing the “save” button.  

Please note: 

The outgoing MSN and the handset’s call number should be iden-
tical.  
Double call numbers are not allowed.  
Double serial numbers are not allowed.  

Call number 

Enter the phone number for the selected handset here. 

Serial number 

The serial number for the selected handset has to be entered here. This serial num-
ber is indicated in the battery compartment of your handset. 

User name 

Enter the user name for the handset here. The name should correspond to the rele-
vant subscriber. This name will be displayed when another handset is called. 

Standby text 

The text to be displayed in the idle state has to be entered here.  

Presentation text 

This text is displayed in case of a connection to another handset. 

DECT-Z 500 system settings 

Each handset has to log on to the base station. In this menu it is possible to limit the 
log on period to 15 minutes after a restart.
