4.5 Ringdown Alarm
A
Ringdown Status Alarm
occurs when the contaminant concentration is too high, when there is a
system contamination, or in rare cases, when the alignment of the laser is off or the detector has
failed.
When a Ringdown Alarm is in effect, the concentration are will flash red and read “OVER”.
Additionally, the “Ringdown” text in the Alarm Status area will turn red, and instead of “OK” it will read
“AL”. The data points logged during a Ringdown Alarm on the Trend graph will appear red instead of
blue. These data points will display the text “Ringdown Alarm” when Echoed through the data port, or
downloaded to your computer via RS-232 or Ethernet cable.
