Digital Display
— The display shows the menu options and settings, accessed via the menu button - see Section 4.2. When
the Ident button on the associated GUI panel is clicked, the display will flash for a short period.

MODE
Button
— Switches between Latch and Track operating mode - see Section 4.1.1.
4.1.1 MODE Button Operation
The MODE button is used to switch between Latch and Tracking modes. When in ‘TRACK’ mode, the NanoTrak detects any
drop in signal strength resulting from misalignment of the input and output optical devices, and makes positional adjustments
(output DC offsets) to maintain maximum throughput.
When in ‘LATCH’ mode, scanning is disabled and the piezo drives are held at their present position (DC offsets fixed and no
sinusoidal dithering, i.e. the piezo actuators are stationary). The top panel display shows ‘Tracking Latched’ when ‘LATCH’
mode is selected.
4.1.2 Digital Display - Operating Mode
During normal operation, the digital display (see Fig. 4.1) shows the drive output voltage as a percentage of full range for each
output channel. If Latch mode is selected, it also shows a ‘Tracking Latched‘ message. The ‘Target’ graph gives a visual
representation of the position of the output actuators in XY space. It also shows two bar graphs which represent the range of
the internal power meter and the located power level in relation to the range.
