Chapter 4 Installation and Maintenance
4.1 Mechanical Installation
4.1.1 Siting
The NanoTrak control module is intended for installation in the Midi Rack as part of
the Thorlabs APT Modular Motion Control System. Full installation instructions are
contained in the handbook
HA 0117 APT Modular Rack Handbook .
4.1.2 Environmental Conditions

To ensure reliable operation the unit should not be exposed to corrosive agents or
excessive moisture, heat or dust.
If the unit has been stored at a low temperature or in an environment of high humidity,
it must be allowed to reach ambient conditions before being powered up.
4.1.3 Identifying Unsafe Equipment
Whenever it is suspected that the safety of the product has been impaired, it is
recommended that an appropriate label, recognized by your company, be attached
and that the unit be removed to a place of repair.
Caution
When siting the unit, it should be positioned so as not to impede the
operation of the rear panel power supply switch.
Ensure that proper airflow is maintained to the rear of the unit.

Operation outside the following environmental limits may adversely
affect operator safety.
