System Location
The ULTROpure should be mounted at a height that
allows for convenient operation, viewing of the controls
and access to the front of the unit for routine service. A
6-inch minimum clearance is recommended below the
ULTROpure.
Proper ventilation of the ULTROpure requires at least 12
inches of free access to the right and top of the unit. Left
side clearance should accommodate the required plumb-
ing connections. Leave at least 16 inches in front of unit
for top cover and front cover removal.
Mounting
Mount the ULTROpure by the following steps:
A. Locate the angle iron wall bracket and use
this as a template for locating holes in the
wall. As a guide, the center line of the mount-
ing holes in the angle iron wall bracket should
be approximately 13 1/2 inches below eye
level.
B. Drill holes, sized to the selected fasteners, in
the wall.
C. Mount the angle iron wall bracket, making
sure that it is level prior to tightening the fas-
teners. The locating pins should be facing up.
D. Using the bottom edge of the angle iron wall
bracket included with the ULTROpure as a
guide, scribe a line on both sides of the brack-
et 13 1/8 inches above the wall bracket.
These lines will be used as reference points
to verify proper engagement of the two mating
brackets.
E. Install the rubber pads over the locating pins
on the angle iron wall bracket. The rubber
pads are in the plumbing hardware package.
Note
If you are installing additional
equipment with the ULTROpure, such
as a Barnstead NANOpure, refer to
the individual ownerʼs manual for
space requirements before installing
the ULTROpure System. If you are
using other storage reservoirs, refer to
page 26 for additional information.
Warning
Do not mount the ULTROpure directly
over equipment that requires electrical
service. Routine maintenance of this
unit may involve water spillage and
subsequent electrical shock hazard if
improperly located.
Caution
Do not connect unit to electrical service
until instructed to do so.
Note
The mounting holes in the angle iron
wall bracket are 16 inches on center,
per standard construction practices,
and will accommodate 3/8" fasteners.
Caution
Wall composition, condition and con-
struction, as well as fastener type must
be considered when mounting this unit.
The mounting surface and fasteners
selected must be capable of supporting
a minimum of 350 pounds. Inadequate
support and/or fastener may result in
damage to mounting surface and/or
equipment. If you are unsure of mount-
ing surface composition, condition and
construction or correct fasteners, con-
sult your building maintenance group or
contractor.
