7. As the BPC fills, periodically check the top of the container to
confirm that the corner seams of the BPC are in the corners of the
container, and that no large wrinkles have formed. If large wrinkles
have formed, remove them by pulling the corners of the BPC
upward. If necessary, reach into the top of the unit and slide your
hand between the BPC and the wall of the unit to remove wrinkles.
8. For 500 L and larger units, monitor the liquid level by looking
through the sight cutouts in the front of the Smartainer 3.0. The
filling rate will vary depending on pump capacity and feedline
diameter.
3.7 Dispensing
Use the following steps to dispense liquid from the BPC.
1. If the BPC hoist is attached to the BPC, release the hoist handle
prior to dispensing. The top of the BPC must be able to drop freely
so that it remains in contact with the surface of the liquid as the
BPC empties. If your unit is equipped with a pneumatic hoist, move
the switch to DOWN to allow the hoist to lower while draining.
Note:
If desired, the hanging tabs at the top of the BPC may be
unhooked to allow the BPC to fall without the hoist sitting on top of
the BPC.
2. Make a connection with the drain line.
3. Using a peristaltic pump or gravity, drain the liquid. For
500 L– 3,000 L units, the liquid level can be monitored by looking
through the sight cutouts in the front of the Smartainer 3.0.
3.8 Removing the BPC
Use the following steps to remove the BPC from the Smartainer 3.0.
1. Disconnect any process lines connected to the Smartainer 3.0
BPC.
2. For units 500 L and larger, open the Smartainer 3.0 door.
3. Where applicable, detach the hoist clips from the BPC and raise
the BPC hoist.
