3.4 Using the BPC hoist and unfolding the BPC
(for 500 L– 3,000 L systems)
The 500 L and 1,000 L Smartainer 3.0 may be installed with a manual
BPC hoist handle, used to easily raise and lower the crossbar of the
BPC hoist.
• To lower the crossbar of the BPC hoist, raise the hoist handle to
the top position on the manual BPC hoist.
• To raise and retain the BPC hoist, lower the hoist handle to the
bottom position on the manual BPC hoist.
Instead of a manual hoist, the Smartainer 3.0 may be installed with
an optional pneumatic hoist. If the Smartainer 3.0 is installed with a
pneumatic hoist, supply compressed air (Figure 3.8) to the hoist with a
minimum pressure of 5 bar (75 psi) and maximum pressure of 6.9 bar
(100 psi).
