2.1.5.2 Installing a 60-mm Fan Housing

Perform the following steps to install a 60-mm Fan Housing:

Insert the replacement 60-mm fan housing into the slot formerly occupied by
the removed housing, aligning the key at each end of the new housing with the
alignment slot (see

Figure 2-11

) in the fan-mounting bracket.

Connect the 4-wire cable from the new 60-mm fan housing to the mother-
board connectors from which the replaced housing cables were removed.

Each cable connector is keyed to prevent incorrect cable insertion.

Tighten the two captive screws at each side with a Phillips screwdriver until
the 60-mm fan housing is firmly secured to the fan-mounting bracket.
