2.3 Operation
2.3.1 Plugging in and Securing the AC Power Cords
Before powering on the RES-22DCX, plug in and secure the AC power cords as follows:
1. If not already installed, secure the power-cord retainer bracket (see A ,
Figure 2-16 on page 2-20) to the rear corner of the chassis with the two cap-
tive screws.
2. On the rear of the RES-22DCX, plug an AC power cord (shipped with unit)
into the AC power socket on each power supply (see
Figure 2-15 ).
3. Thread one velcro strap (see B , Figure 2-16 ), “fuzzy” side up, through the sec-
ond slot down from the top of the power-cord bracket (see C , Figure 2-16 ).
4. Loop the velcro strap back through the third slot down from the top of the
power-cord bracket (see
D , Figure 2-16 ).
5. Bring the narrow end of the velcro strap (now underneath the power-cord
plug) up through the slit in the top of the strap, and back through the top slit
on the power-cord bracket. Pull tightly (see
E , Figure 2-16 ).
