When y ou execut e t his ut ilit y for t h e first t im e, it will ask you t o cr eat e a DB file.

1. Click Add t o cr eat e a Backup t ask . Th e Add N e w Ta sk dialog box w ill
appear.

Task Specifies a nam e for t he cur r ent t ask.
Sour ce Click t o specify t he sour ce folder / file locat ion.
I ncr em ent al Click t o specify whet her t he backup will be incr em ent al.
I f unchecked, t he back up will be a full backup.
Dest inat ion Click t o specify t he dest inat ion folder / file locat ion.
Excluded ext ensions Files wit h t hese file nam e ext ensions will be skipped and not
backed up t o t he dest inat ion.
Com m ent s I f you wish, ent er a com m ent her e for your r ecor ds.
2. To schedule t he t ask t o run at r egular int ervals, click on t he Sch e du le icon
for t hat t ask. You can schedule t he t ask t o run M on t h ly or W e e k ly .
3. To check t he log for t hat t ask, click on t he Log icon for t hat t ask.
Windows XP Data Backup
I f y ou use Window s XP Professional, you can also use t h e Window s Backup Ut ilit y
( Nt backup.exe) t o back up your files.
I f y ou use Window s XP Hom e Edit ion, follow t hese st eps t o inst all t he ut ilit y:
