iSCSI Block size
The iSCSI block size can be set under syst em advance
opt ion, default is 512 Byt es.
[ 4K ] block size w hile m ore t han 2TB capacit y will be
configur ed in Windows XP.

4. Choose t h e cu rr ent y ear fr om t he Ye a r dr opdow n.
5. Choose t h e cu rr ent m on t h from t he M on t h dropdow n.
6. Choose t o enable CH AP aut hent icat ion or ch oose N on e .
7. I f y ou’v e enabled CHAP aut hent icat ion, ent er a u se r n a m e and a pa ssw or d.

box.
8. Choose Th in - Pr ov ision or I n st a n t Alloca t ion
9. Ent er a LUN N a m e .
10. Designat e t he per cent age t o be allocat ed from t he Alloca t ion drag bar .
11. When iSCSI t arget volum e has been creat ed, t he LUN I D is configurable
from 0 t o 254 w it h a default of t he next available num ber in ascending
num erical order. The LUN I D is unique and cannot be duplicat ed.
12. Choose
[ 4 K ] block siz e
t o have iSCSI t ar get volum e over 2TB bar r ier

[ 5 1 2

13. Click OK t o cr eat e t he iSCSI volum e.
M odify iSCSI Volu m e
To m odify iSCSI t arget on t he curr ent RAI D volum e, follow t he st eps below :
1. Under t he iSCSI Ta r ge t List , click M odify .
The M odify iSCSI Volu m e scr een appears.
N OTE
Be su re t he iSCSI t arget volum e has been enabled
or it w ill not list out w hile using I nit iat or t o get
associat ed iSCSI t arget volum es.
N OTE
The iSCSI t arget volum e cr eat ion w ill associat e at
least one LUN t oget h er . I t can be assigned eit her
“ Thin- Provisioning” or “ I nst ant Allocat ion” .
