elim inat e t he redundant disk usage in each RAI D volum e. Sim ply select an unused
disk from t he global hot spar e disk list t hen apply t o act ivat e.
Ex pa n d in g a RAI D
To expand a RAI D 1, RAI D 5, or RAI D 6 volum e, follow t he st eps below :
1. Replace on e of t he hard drives in t he RAI D volum e and allow it t o
aut om at ically rebuild.
2. Once r ebuilt , you can cont inue t o r eplace any r em aining disks in t he RAI D
array.
3. When y ou ar e done r eplacing hard drives, log on t o Web Managem ent .
