Annual Battery Replacement
At least annually, the backup battery should be replaced. Dispose of the battery as
described in section 2 of this manual and in accordance with local regulations.
•
Disable the Actuators by flipping the Actuation toggle switch to OFF.
•
Remove power to the panel and unplug both Primary and Secondary power
connectors from the Advantage panel. Remove two #6 screws on either side
of the battery bracket. Unplug the 9 vdc battery and replace with a new battery.
Record the installation date on the battery replacement label.
•
Reassemble the two #6 screws to the battery bracket. Plug the primary and
secondary power connectors into the Advantage panel. The connectors are
identified by colored ty-wraps. Red for primary 24 VDC input and black for
secondary battery backup input.
•
Restore power to the Advantage panel.
•
Enable the Actuators by flipping the Actuation toggle switch to ON
