5. Lift valve plate (17) off rotating kit (9). If dowel pin
(1
8 ) did not stay in end cap (24), remove dowel pin.
Pump Housing

1. Hold rotating kit (9) in place. Turn pump housing on
the side.
2. Remove the rotating kit (9), making sure pistons do
not slide out.
IMPORTANT
Do not disassemble the rotating kit (9). If parts are
worn or damaged, replace the entire rotating kit.
3. Remove thrust plate ( 8 ).
4. Remove neutral return spring (35).
5. Remove seal nut (37). Remove pivot (36) and neutral
return arm (32).
6. Remove retaining ring (34) and bearing (33) from
neutral return arm (32).
7. Remove upper and lower bearings (12).
8 . Remove swashplate (7).
Inspection Notes
• Keeping parts in assembly order, clean and air dry
each item for inspection.
• Inspect for worn or defective parts.
• Check that shaft splines are straight and free of
damage or heavy wear.
• Replace the shaft if a groove exists at the sealing
land surface.
• Look for metal chips or slivers during cleaning (an
indication of damage to pump or other hydraulic
component).
• Inspect all parts for cracks, nicks, burrs, and
excessive wear. Inspect for scoring, galling, and
scratches on surfaces. Replace parts as necessary.
Assembly Notes
• Assemble the pump by reversing the order of
disassembly.
• Lubricate all O-rings prior to assembly.
• Install new O-rings and seals. Use clean grease to
keep seals in position.
• Torque charge relief plug (19) to 60-150 lb-ft (81-203
N·m).
• Torque end cap screw (27) to 40 lb-ft (54 N·m)
• Torque loop flushing plugs (28) to 33 lb-ft (45 N·m).
• Torque seal nut (37) to 16 lb-ft (22 N·m).
• Torque bypass valve (38) to 15 lb-ft (20 N·m).
• Torque high pressure relief valves (41) to 60 lb-ft (81
N·m).
• Torque trunnion cover screws (13) to 24 lb-ft (33
N·m).
