A RETRO-FIT package always consists of at least the following components:
• 1x TEUFELBERGER SKC EVO fall arrester
• 1x Spring tensioning device
• 1x Type plate
This means that the lower attachment must always be rebuilt. To do this, follow the assembly instruc-
tions from points 8.3 to 8.5.
From a system length of 10 m, an intermediate rope bracket must always be retrofitted. To do this,
follow the assembly instructions from points 8.2 and 8.5
7. REPLACEMENT OF THE SHOCK-ABSORBING LANYARD
TEUFELBERGER SKC EVO ABSORBER
Attention! The shock-absorbing lanyard alone is not considered personal protective equipment and
must not be used alone or with other products. The TEUFELBERGER SKC EVO Absorber may only be
used with the TEUFELBERGER SKC EVO fall arrester!
The shock-absorbing lanyard may only be replaced by a competent person trained in personal protective equip-
ment
against falls from a height. The following instructions must be followed exactly. The replacement
must be documented in the inspection checklist (Enclosure 2) of the fall arrester.
The following spare parts and tools are required:
• TEUFELBERGER SKC EVO Absorber replacement shock absorber Art.: 7330559
• 1x 12 mm open-end wrench (or ring wrench)
• 1x 10 mm open-end wrench (or ring wrench)
Figure 11 describes the parts of the replacement shock-absorbing
lanyard:
1) Stop nut.
2) Shock-absorbing lanyard.
3) Carabiner.
