• Gain Control Reset
Over time, gain control levels can fluctuate. When the Gain Control Reset option
is enabled, the gain control resets to 0.0 Options include:
•
Select (default)
•
Reset
Note:
You must choose “Reset” and then click
Submit
in order to reset the gain control.
• Attenuation
Type a value within the range of 0.0 dB to 30.0 dB in 0.1 dB steps. After you click
Submit
, the gain of the unit will be reduced by that value.
The default setting is 0.0 dB
• Current Gain Control
Indicates the current gain of the AGC/ALC voltage variable attenuator (VVA)
circuitry. The Gain Control range is 0 dB to 30.0 dB. When the Gain Control Reset
option is selected, this value will reset to 0.0.
• Input Threshold Low
Sets the lowest permitted transmit input value down to -60 dBm. You will receive
an error message if you try to exceed the threshold range. Click
OK
to return to the
Tx Config page to enter a valid value.
• Input Threshold High
Sets the highest permitted transmit input value up to -15 dBm. You will receive an
error message if you try to exceed the threshold range. Click
OK
to return to the
Tx Config page to enter a valid value.
• Output Threshold Low
Sets the lowest permitted transmit input value down to (rated P1dB - 20 dB). You
will receive an error message if you try to exceed the threshold range. Click
OK
to
return to the Tx Config page to enter a valid value.
!
CAUTION
Resetting the ALC/ACG attenuation control
might cause abrupt changes of
the Tx Output level
. For reduced interference on nearby channels,
Terrasat
recommends
: attenuating the input signal (via IBUCs internal control),
resetting the gain control, re-adjusting the input signal attenuation until output
power reaches the desired level and finally enabling the desired Gain mode.
