3. How to use: EDGE S-400  

EDGE S-400 is a Bluetooth® Smart 
enabled module that records ambient 
temperature at regular intervals and 
stores the information in its memory. 
Unlike EDGE M-300, EDGE S-400 is 
designed for shorter-term operation for 
shipping applications lasting about 3 
months. The battery in EDGE S-400 is not 
replaceable.  

The EDGEVue application on a mobile 
device enables monitoring wirelessly via 
Bluetooth at any time. You may also 
choose to upload the information to the 
Cloud where other people can access it. 

1. Mounting (optional) 

EDGE S-400 has an adhesive strip that can be used to affix the module to a 
container

.  

It also has a key hole that can be used to strap or tie the module 

to other objects.

  

2. Activate using the pushbutton 

One long press to start with default profile 

EDGE S-400 features a default profile, set to monitor a pre-configured 
temperature range of 2°C to 8°C, commonly used in cold-chain applications. 
The default profile logs the sensor temperature every 10 minutes.  

If no other specific settings are required, press the EDGE S-400 pushbutton 
for 3 seconds to activate datalogging and begin tracking temperature. A
