6.5 Auto prefix
You can set your telephone to detect a dialed number and replace it with
another number. The number to be detected can be up to 5 digits long. It
can be replaced with a number up to 10 digits. This function could be
used to generate you own “shortcut keys” for commonly dialed prefixes.
For Example, setting a detect digit of 99 and a prefix number of 0044
would mean that when dialing numbers in the U.K, you could simply dial
99 followed by the local U.K number. In this case you would need to
leave out the 0 prefix from the U.K local number, And the phone would
automatically dial the full international number for you.
1.
Press the MENU button.
2. Use the
p
and
q
buttons to select ADVANCED SET . Press
the MENU button.
3. Use the
p
and
q
buttons to select PREFIX . Press the MENU
button.
4. The display shows DETECT DIGIT . Press the MENU button.
5. Enter the number that you want to be detected. Press the
MENU button.
6. Use the p and q buttons to select PREFIX NUM. . Press the
MENU button.
7. Enter the number (up to 10 digits) you want it replaced with.
Press the
MENU button to confirm.
8. You can then select further menu functions or exit by pressing
the button.
NOTE: If you do not enter a number for “Detect Digit” then the “Prefix
number” will be dialed prior to the number you call. To disable the auto-
prefix function, delete the contents in both “Detect digit” and “Prefix
number” settings.
The auto-prefix function will not work if you press the button first
before dialing.
6.6 Turning intrusion on and off
When an external call is taking place, another handset registered to the
base can join in, making the call a 3-way conference, just by pressing
the button. To enable this, intrusion must be switched on.

the MENU button.
4. Use the

q
buttons to select ON or OFF . Press the
MENU button to confirm.

the button.
