4. WLAN TEST PROCEDURE
QRCT tool from Qualcomm provides GUI interface for manually RF tests in nonsignaling mode,
called FTM. QCMBR tool is provided in source code format that should be compiled & run in
host linux platform for WLAN RF test.
4.1.
Setup QRCT for WLAN
Step 1:
Connect the device under test as shown in Figure 2-1.
Step 2:
Configure the Access Point (or Ethernet switch) to get IP address of the below
devices:
•
CMW500
•
Windows Laptop (QRCT tool)
•
Linux Host or x86 Linux Laptop (QCMBR tool)
Step 3:
Configure the CMW500 settings.
Step 4:
Install the QCMBR tool in Linux laptop.
a.
Open a command prompt and execute the following command
$sudo -s
Enter the password as "password"
b.
Retrieve IP address of the Ethernet Interface in Linux Laptop by entering the
following command
#ifconfig
c.
Navigate to the Qcmr tool directory, and build it.
# cd ~/Qcmbr
Step 5:
Setup WE866Cx module in Factory Test Mode
a.
Connect the WE866Cx EVB to the SDIO slot in the Linux Laptop.
b.
Make sure the Jumper Settings on the EVB are as shown below.

c.
Connect RF cable to WE866Cx EVB and RF Test machine (Litepoint/CMW500).
d.
Once the connection is established, execute the following commands:
sudo -s
Enter the password : password
#rmmod wlan.ko (Ignore if any error response and proceed to next command)
