Antenna receives the power amplifier output signal through the Antenna Coupler.
The Antenna Coupler converts antenna impedance to 50 ohm that provides normal
operation of the Power Amplifier.
The Transceiver Unit performs the control of all units during the transmission, as well
as their operability control.
1.1.4.2 Radio operation in the receive mode
During the receiving the radiofrequency signal is sent to the Power Amplifier Unit
through the Antenna Coupler. During the receiving the bypass is switched on in the Power
Amplifier, and the signal is sent from the unit
’s input to the output with the minimum loss, and
then to the Transceiver Unit input.
In the Transceiver Unit the signal is filtered, i.e., the desired signal is separated from
the interfering signals. After filtration, the desired signal is processed into the data signal in
accordance with the selected emission class and operating mode. Data signal is sent to the
output of the selected interface of the Transceiver Unit. The interface is selected by the radio
operator.
1.1.4.3
Radio operation during the Antenna Coupler setting
The Antenna Coupler Unit setting of is done during the radio performance at the
narrow-banded whip antennas. In case when the radio is used with broadband or other 50
ohm antenna, the Antenna Coupler is not set but is switched, and the signal from the Power
Amplifier output is sent directly to the antenna.
