The radio is the simplex combined radio set. It operates alternatively either in receiving
or transmission modes. Receive and transmit frequencies may be either identical or different.
The radio has the option of supplementary modes of operation, which provide its
proper usage during the receiving or transmission. The modes are: the Antenna Coupler Unit
setting mode, and test mode.
During the performance, the radio is functioning in various modes of operation. In
operating modes the radio supports both data transmission and receiving. The operating
modes are further defined as radio modes of operation. They are the following:
operation on fixed frequencies in listening modes;
operation on fixed frequencies in listening modes and data transmission modes;
operation in the ALE mode;
operation in FHSS mode.
1.1.4.1 Radio operation in the transmit mode
During the transmission the Transceiver Unit processes input data signal into
radiofrequency output signal in accordance with the selected emission class and operating
mode of (65
± 25) mW level. This radiofrequency signal is the excitation signal for the Power
Amplifier.
The Power Amplifier amplifies excitation signal to the selected
gradation of the radio’s
output power, namely, 100 or 50, or 25, or 12,5 %. These gradations corresponds the output
power, shown in Table 5.
