Performance Verification and Adjustment Procedures

6. Check Luminance Amplitude Accuracy

a. Select the Matrix signal from the TSG 95 (press R).

b. Press the following VM700A keys: Measure, <Bar LineTime>, and

Average.

Use the VM700A front-panel knob to select line 265.

d. CHECK — that Bar Level is 700 mV

7 mV.

NOTE

. The Bar Level measurement on the VM700A is equivalent to the Lumi-

nance Amplitude specification called out in the Specifications section of this
manual.

7. Check Chrominance-to-Luminance Gain and Delay

a. Select the Matrix signal from the TSG 95 (press R).

b. Press the following VM700A keys: Measure, <ChromLum GainDe-

lay>, Average, and Line Select.

Use the VM700A front-panel knob to select line 19.

d. CHECK — that the Chroma Gain is 100%

2%.

CHECK — that the Chroma Delay is

≤

10 ns.

8. Check Differential Gain and Phase

a. Select the Matrix signal from the TSG 95 (press R).

b. Press the following VM700A keys: Measure, <DGDP>, Select Line,

<Line 330>, and Average.

CHECK — that each packet has a Gain

≤

1%.

d. CHECK — that each packet has a Phase

≤

9. Check Multiburst Frequency Response

a. Select the Multiburst signal from the TSG 95 (press N).

b. Press the following VM700A keys: Measure, <MultiBurst>, Select

Line, and Average.

Use the VM700A front-panel knob to select line 24.

d. CHECK — that the variance out to 4.8 MHz is

0.17 dB. The sixth

packet (5.8 MHz) is allowed a variance of

0.25 dB. See Figure 4–5.
