TSG 95 Service Manual

Figure 4–2: A Setup for Verifying the Oscillator Frequency

Complete the following steps to verify PAL performance of the TSG 95.

1. Check Blanking Level

a. Connect the TSG 95 Video output to the VM700A Channel A Input and

terminate the loopthrough in 75

Ω.

b. Select the Matrix signal from the TSG 95 (press R).

View Ch. A, line 265 on the VM700A.

d. Press the following VM700A keys: Measure, <Level Meter>, Menu,

Measure Position

>, <

DC Cpl. ABS. Meas

>, and <

Pos. (b)

Position the cursor on the color back porch.

Press the Average key.

g. CHECK — that Level (b) = 0 V

50 mV.

2. Check Sync Amplitude

a. Select the Matrix signal from the TSG 95 (press R).

b. Press the following VM700A keys: Measure, <

Bar LineTime

>, and Av-

erage.
