1.) Connect the appropriate pressure transmitter
to one of the G ½” pressure connections
of the pump
(use seals to avoid leakage).
2.) Connect the hand-held pressure measuring instrument Manoport
to the pressure
transmitter
.
3.) Connect the test specimen
to the second pressure connection
of the pump
(ensure:
specified mounting).
4.) Open air-bleed valve
(small knurled screw), if necessary correct zero point with tare
function (TARA-key) on hand-held pressure measuring instrument Manoport
.
5.) Bring the variable volume (for fine adjustment) with set screw
to the middle setting, by
screwing fully clockwise first, followed by 4-5 full turns anticlockwise.
Please note: Under no circumstances should the fine adjustment valve be wound back beyond
the red line indicator, which appears on the body after approx. 10 full turns from the
start. Should this occur, then the pressure must released from the system before
attempting to re-engage the fine adjustment valve.
6.) Set the Pressure / Vacuum selector
, by pressing the selector as indicated on the label to
engage the desired mode.
7.) After this close air-bleed valve
.
8.) Pump up the approximately required pressure.
Please note: Adjustable stroke for varying maximum pressure output, by turning the nuts
to
increase or decrease the stroke length.
9.) Set the pressure precisely with the variable volume
.
10.) Read-off the reference pressure from the digital display of the handheld
pressure indicator Manoport.
13.3 Handling of Manoport-System with hydraulic handspindle-pump (0 to 250 bar)
Warning: The maximum permissible pressure is 300 bar. Higher pressures can damage the pump.
Pressure transmitter, test specimen and any used connection hoses must not be
overloaded with an inadmissible high pressure.
1.)
Fit handcross
on spindle.
2.) Bring the variable volume with set screw
to the middle setting to optimally exploit the fine
setting of the preset pressure (increasing and decreasing pressure).
3.) Turn the spindle anticlockwise back to the stop with the handcross
without applying any
great force to be able to use the full stroke.
4.) Connect the appropriate pressure transmitter
to the manifold
of the pump
(note pressure ranges!)
5.) Connect the hand-held pressure measuring instrument Manoport
to the pressure
transmitter
.
6.) Connect the test specimen
also to the manifold
of the pump.
7.) By turning the handcross
clockwise pump to the approximately required pressure
(maximum 300 bar).
8.) Set the pressure precisely with the variable volume
.
9.) Read-off the reference pressure from the digital display of the handheld
pressure indicator Manoport
.
Please note: To be taken into account is a longer waiting period for high pressures compared with
lower pressures until the holding point has been achieved.
