13.4 Handling of Manoport-system with hydraulic handspindle-pump (0 to 1000 bar)
Warning: The maximum permissible pressure for the pump is 1000 bar and for the pressure
transmitter with is highest range is 1000 bar. Higher pressures than stated can damage the
equipment. The used pressure transmitter (reference), test specimen and any used
connection hoses must not be overloaded with an inadmissible high pressure.
1.) Bring the variable volume with set screw
to the middle setting to optimally exploit the fine
setting of the pre-set pressure (increasing and decreasing pressure).
2.) Turn both spindles anticlockwise back to the stop with the handcross
without applying any
great force to be able to use the full stroke.
3.) Connect the appropriate pressure transmitter
to the manifold
of the pump (note pressure
ranges!).
4.) Connect the hand-held pressure measuring instrument Manoport
to the pressure
transmitter
.
5.) Connect the test specimen
also to the manifold
of the pump.
6.) Turn clockwise with the handcross
on the spindle of the low pressure piston
until the
pressure has been built up (max. up to 250 bar).
7.) After this in the case of pressures over 250 bar fit the handcross
on the spindle of the high
pressure piston
and set the pressure at the required end pressure which must not be
higher than 1000 bar.
8.) Set the pressure precisely with the variable volume
.
9.) Read-off the reference pressure from the digital display of the hand-held pressure measuring
instrument Manoport
.
Please note: To be taken into account is a longer waiting period for high pressures compared with
lower pressures until the holding point has been achieved.
